It can be interesting watching the weather change from up on Skyline Drive. Here a rain storm is moving over the Shenandoah Valley, coming from the west.
Rain on the Windshield |
After driving back to the Valley, I looked back toward where I'd been and saw a layer of clouds resting on the Blue Ridge.

I really like the 1st photo the way you included the stone wall & the perspective of looking along the top of it. In the Rain on the windshield photo it looks like it's really pelting down.
ReplyDeleteLovely scenery!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and stunning landscapes!

Really neat sky pictures! I hope you have a nice holiday weekend!
ReplyDeleteLinda, speeding a lot of time in the mountains, I know how quickly the sky can change (and the weather for that matter). I love your series of photos today! Thanks for sharing with the SWF gang! ;)

Neat!! There are photographers here who have exhibited lots of images involving rain on a windshield...really beautifully abstract [especially the night shots] so that it is not even clear whst you are looking at.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your photos. My husband drive there often and sometimes I think we should live in the mountains. Virginias mountains are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh how neat to see the approaching storm from the Skyline drive. Quite a different view on the way back but very pretty.
ReplyDeleteGreat sky shots, and I really like the view of the storm off on the horizon!
ReplyDeleteEven in the rain the views are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely series of photo's.
