Sunday Shots Near Front Royal

This is the trailhead for the very short "Pass Mountain Loop" trail. It's in the northern section of Shenandoah National Park. I like the afternoon shadows, perfect for sharing with Shadow Shot Sunday,

Next is a picture of Leed's Church in Hume, a small town that's a short drive from Front Royal. This Episcopal Church was built in 1873, replacing one that stood here during the Civil War. The story is that it was used by soldiers of both sides at different times and at one point a shell from a nearby skirmish exploded inside the church, causing significant damage.

The flowers in the crock are fairly ordinary but I love gray salt-glazed stoneware so of course I photographed it. To make up for the plain arrangement, I'm including a second photo of flowers. These are quite small so I got fairly close.

I also love salt-glazed stoneware and the flowers are beautiful. Thank you very much for linking with Today's Flowers. Appreciate that so much. Have a great week :)
