The Good: I've been making an effort to exercise more. On Sunday we hiked to Lands Run from Skyline Drive (at milepost 9.2). It's only 1.2 miles on a fire road, but I ran out of breath going back up the mountain and had to stop several times. Later I was relieved to read that other hikers found the way up to be steep also. | |

The Random: The large barn at Belle Grove is bright and pretty! The white fence and green lawn set it off nicely.

The Fun: We went to an evening rock concert at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley.
This was definitely a family event. Children were dancing to the music, running around on the grass, and doing cartwheels.
The band was The Reflex, an 80's tribute group. The music was loud but as we used to say, "It had a good beat and you can dance to it."

WOW. what a beauty you found Linda! Red, white and green is a great combination. Thanks for sharing and I hope that you find more for the future. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteBeautiful barn! Good for you for getting out and taking a hike.
ReplyDeleteThat barn is very impressive! The little girl's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a pretty picture of a pretty lady. The barn is not bad either:).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful barn!
ReplyDeleteI get out of breath on walking trails, too, and they don't have to be all that steep! I tell people I'm slow, but at least I'm on my feet (while they are in their recliners, no, I don't say that!)
Looks a fantastic, fun event.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the walk ...
All the best Jan
I love the barn photos--so pretty! The little dancing girl is quite a cutie!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is one great, big beautiful barn!
ReplyDeleteAs to dancing, our granddaughter attended a wedding with her mom and dad Saturday night. She is sick...once they got her up and dancing, she did not want to go home. I ain't saying how late they were leaving.
