In August 2014, the forest service celebrated the 70th anniversary of Smokey the Bear becoming their fire prevention symbol. This billboard in Front Royal (Virginia) is honoring Smokey.
A painting by artist Kelly Walker is displayed in the Warren County Government Center. Various local scenes are displayed, including the Shenandoah River and the entrance to Skyline Drive.

This building on the grounds of Skyline High School features the school's sport symbol, a hawk. The school itself is large and can be seen from the first overlook on Skyline Drive.

A grand variety of signs. Especially love the big bear hugging a young one in the first photo. So cute.
