Sometimes I like to take a road just to see where it goes and that's how I happened upon this pretty church out in the country. It's official address is Stephens City, but that post office covers a huge area, much of it rural.
I'm sharing this with the Inspired Sunday blog hop, which is a great site to visit if you like the architecture of churches.
Across the road from the church is a farm, and these cows were looking at me curiously.
i like its fences and walls. and neighbors. :)
ReplyDeleteThe simplicity of the church appeals to me.
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous day! the hubby & I do that all the time. just drive & take lots if pics. maybe even a picnic lunch too. ( :
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty country church.
ReplyDeleteThe cows I find comical , it's almost like they are saying something like "who's that over there". Pretty picture.
A mooving experience. (Sorry, it just slipped out.) A lovely church!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the cows wanted to join you?
ReplyDeleteNice clean lines on the church, very nice.

Pretty little church. I see one of your readers left a fairly low comment... I think cows - at least in the UK - are more curious (and more aggressive) than they used to be.
ReplyDeleteI love small country churches like this. What a pretty blue sky too!
ReplyDeleteWe 'wander' down roads a lot, too. This is a great little place you found.
ReplyDeleteTaking a road because you have never been on it before is what it's all about. It takes me forever to get from point a to b. What great fun. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered if anyone does a church meme. I like taking roads to see where they go, too. Loved the cows watching you.
