Assateague National Seashore, Virginia
When I took these pictures early in the morning, the sign warned that there was no lifeguard on duty. It also states certain rules: "No Glass, No Kites, No Flotation Devices, No Body Boards."
In addition, an explanation is given for the meaning of the nearby flags. The yellow flag with a circle in it means "No Surfing, No Kayaking, No Skim Boarding." I think it also says "No Fishing " but those words are obscured.

Hello Linda!:) Thats a lovely view of the sea with the simple lines of the fence in the foreground. It's not a fun beach to go to though, is it!! I'm guessing this photo was taken when it was out of season, with no lifeguard on duty. I can understand no glass, but I guess there must be a reason for so many restrictions.
ReplyDeleteBest Reguards.
It is a beautiful beach. I think they want to keep it that way.. Lovely shots. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteA lot of NOs! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeletei like the way you took that fence shot! nice!
ReplyDeleteWhen we were there we liked watching the lifeguards get prepped for the day. THey did some expositions the public could watch. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteYes Lisa, I saw a schedule of life saving demonstrations. It would have been interesting to see but we needed to get back to the hotel to check out on time. We were there very early.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very pleasant looking beach. Ominous skies though!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely entrance to the beach. Seems like there's no much you can do there though with all those signs and warning flags.
