Regular visitors to Skyline Drive will recognize Stony Man Mountain. Here at the overlook you can see the profile of "Stony Man." (See his nose?)
You can also watch the sky or look down at the Shenandoah Valley below. Beyond the valley rises the Massanutten Range and past that, the Alleghenies.
