Next to my mother is her sister. I believe the flower girls were neighbors. My parents met at the University of Chicago.

ReplyDeleteA wonderful photo! I love these old family photos, thanks for sharing yours. I am impressed with the fact that your Mother made her own wedding dress, she looks gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteA terrific photo, and a treasured image for you.
ReplyDeleteAn absolute treasure for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this beautiful old wedding photo of your mother!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the note. It has been a down under month with a fall on the ice and then 2 different viruses...plus the trauma of turning 75. Am up and running again..finally. Getting out f the old lady funk :-) I have many old photos and they are treasures just like this one. Life was so different back then.
ReplyDeleteSister, dear, I believe that our aunt is not the one standing next to our mother. Doats is 8 years younger, and Mom was only 20 when she was married. Doats is on the end, I believe - tall for a 12 year old. THe woman next to Mom was a college friend. Or, so I believe -- we should ask our aunt while we still can.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious treasure this photo is!
ReplyDeleteWow. What a wonderful photograph. Everyone looks so happy and lovely.
