We have several feeders in view of our living room windows so we can enjoy watching them and I get the opportunity to take their photos.
I'm thinking of planting a small tree in that area so that their portraits will appear more natural!

I finally broke down and bought feeders to see what birds might show up. I can watch them just fine, but every time I try to open the sliding glass door to try to take a photo, I scare them away! I can't shoot through the windows, they have dark solar screens on them. Drat!
ReplyDeleteMy parents had feeders out as long as I could remember. For the time they were living in cottage country the deer would come in the winter and lick up fallen seed on the ground.
ReplyDeletethese shots are lovely
Hello Linda!:)
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you at my place. Thank you for your visit.:) Nice job with the bird captures. I have seen a lot of finches at my feeders also. They are pretty little birds. I can't see the birds for the trees in my garden,.. so be careful what you choose. Good luck!:)
Your feeders are in a great spot.
ReplyDeleteadorable little goldfinch.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. Nice backgrounds, too. Lucky you to get all this from the comfort of your living room.
ReplyDeleteI am not a birder but I've loved birds since I was a little girl. I grew up in an apartment building in New York City. We had a lawn underneath one of our windows and my Mom would throw bread out the window. We would watch together as the birds would find the bread and ate. It is a fond childhood memory.
ReplyDeleteI love these little beauties Linda, would love to have the opportunity to take photos of them.
