I was intrigued by the contrast between the horse-drawn wagon with the truck behind them and also by the enhancement of the cart by seats out of a car.
We see Mennonites fairly often in the Shenandoah Valley. I like hearing their horses go clip-clop clip-clop on the roads!
the car seats are definitely unique.
ReplyDeleteThere are definitely a lot more up your way than where I am.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of Amish around us. Well,... a few miles from us but there is a lot of them.
ReplyDeleteI guess they want their wagon to be comfortable with the seats.
A very endearing picture with horse and cart.
ReplyDeleteI like this. I like to hear the sound of the horses' feet too.
ReplyDeleteO, this was such a common sight during my university days! Sometimes a whole line of cars would be trailing behind them, but no one seemed to mind. I've always marvelled, almost been in awe of, their way of life.
