And a week later, another cavalry horse ("Doc") in a nearby educational event got loose and disappeared for a while in the woods. According the the account I read, "We heard screams coming from the townhouses about 1/2 mile away. The people swimming in their backyard pool thought there was a bear in the woods, but it was just Doc checking them out. We caught the rascal and returned him to his appointed cavalry duties."
