The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley has a genealogy event and an interesting exhibit coming up.
- Shenandoah Valley Heritage Day, Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 – Family History Research and Photo Restoration are among the topics. See the announcement (PDF).
- Photography Exhibit, Feb. 11 - July 3, 2011 – As Good as Can Be: Shenandoah County through the Lens of Hugh Morrison Jr. I've seen a number of Morrison's photos and they are very intriguing. Our county's historical society has been cataloguing them and has produced a book, A Pictorial History of Shenandoah County. Anyone whose family roots are in the Woodstock, Virginia area should look into this.
