Trash Sites Closed on Thursday
Like many localities, Shenandoah County has made budget cuts and one of them is closing the recycling centers/trash dumpsters once a week. I don't know how well this is working out here but I read that in an adjoining county, citizens have been leaving their trash on the ground outside the gates, causing a litter problem and clean-up expenses. This may be one of those plans that look sensible on paper but winds up not saving very much.
