Last week we visited the Posey Thisisit Llama Farm near Toms Brook here in Shenandoah County. We'd seen their ad in the Mountain Courier and decided to stop by. I recall that llamas were rare in Virginia when I was growing up but now they are a popular farm animal. Not only do they produce quality wool, they also can herd sheep and help protect them. Many llamas are very friendly.
