This picture appeared a bit plain when I opened it in Photoshop, so I added a colored pencil filter to a duplicate layer. Then I slid the transparency down just a bit and chose dissolve as the blending mode. The colored pencil filter only looks good if you've chosen your foreground and background colors to complement the image. Even then you may have to experiment a bit.
