We were in Front Royal yesterday for a dental appointment. Afterwards I drove to the Front Royal Golf Club which I learned of from a roadside marker. This public club is located behind a new shopping center (which has WalMart, Lowe's, Cracker Barrel, Checkers, etc.).It looks like you can easily walk to the Shenandoah River but we didn't try because a light rain was falling. I saw another lane going down towards the river (boat ramp?) but a chain was across it.
