Master Gardener Malinda Gordy was the April speaker for our library program. She says that a Gardenfest will be on Saturday, June 2 from 9:00 A.M. to 2 P.M. at Belle Grove. There will be be 4 demonstrations (gardening lectures- "how to" programs), vendors, and the Master Gardeners' plant sale.The Master Gardener's program is a volunteer program of the Cooperative Extension Service in partnership with Virginia Teach. The extension office has a website at www.ext.vt.edu.
Family members reading this no doubt remember that I once worked for Extension. Can you believe it was 30 years ago? And I just talked to Sarah last week... she's looking for a job again.
